22nd June 2026 – Official Book Launch 📖
We will be launching the first edition of Teaching Programming Across Disciplines at the “Summer-time Winter School” on 22 June 2026! 🌈
This will take the same format as the previous two Winter Schools, with presentations and lightning talks. It will also be our official launch of the Book “Teaching Programming Across Disciplines”. As with our Winter School, the Summer School will be hybrid (online and in person in Edinburgh).

Event Schedule (09.30 – 16.30)
For the in-person event, registration will take place from 9.30am, with talks starting at 10am. Full schedule to be announced soon.
The event will include:
- Chapter teasers (1 min) where each authors team introduces their chapter
- Short lightning talks (7 mins) from authors
- Keynote – TBC
- Tea, coffee, lunch
- Opportunities for socialising and networking
Pre-Order The Printed Book (while booking your ticket)
The book will be freely available to read online. You can read the work-in-progress here (and see it develop in the coming weeks!).
We will also produce a fancy glossy A4 coffee table edition of the book for £22ish each (with an exclusive set of stickers for those who pledged). In the registration form you can pledge the number of copies you would like to get on the day of the event. You can pay and pick up your copies at the registration desk (but please if you pledge, then do buy them). We do not take a cut, and the book will cost you as much as it costs to produce.
📚 To pick up a copy of the book during the event, let us know when booking your in-person ticket.
🏠 For online participants (and everyone else), there will be an option to buy the book and have it delivered to your home. Link coming soon.
